People:

	Pam Siddons, Chair Katie Weeds, Secretary Paul Jones, Treasurer Past secretary Barry Aelion with present secretary Katie Weeds Barry retired in March 2009 after 21 years as WDRA secretary.  He was incredibly conscientious and built up a very strong relationship with the Planning Department. Over the years he became a real expert on planning issues and was a stalwart defender of the Albert Park Conservation Area. He set up our original website and spent many hours working ‘behind the scenes’, writing letters and visiting development sites.  He spearheaded the Marie Louise Gardens Campaign and worked tirelessly to successfully prevent an appalling development in the popular park. Not being one to sit around doing nothing, Barry now dedicates his skills and energy to the Albemarle Allotments for whom he has set up a website.       Katie with Niall Keogh Niall was our social secretary for many years before recently moving to Whaley Bridge.  A brilliant cook, Niall masterminded Christmas parties, neighbours’ day barbecues, curry nights and an evening at Pizza Express.  He was always full of ideas and a willing helper at any WDRA occasion.  We will really miss his cheerful contribution and have not yet found anyone to carry on his good work.
